Regions in the City of Johannesburg

Regions

Region A

Region A borders Centurion to the north and Mogale City to the west. To the east is the township of Tembisa and on the south it borders Alexandra, Sandton, Randburg and Roodepoort.

Region B

Region B is in the centre of the City of Johannesburg, sharing its boundaries with Roodepoort(and surrounds), Bryanston, Sandton, andRegion F (the inner city). It also shares a border with Soweto.

Region C

This region is home to Roodepoort and much of its surrounding developments in Johannesburg’s centre and north, with areas such as Florida to the southeast and Bram Fischerville to the south.

Region D

Region D encompasses the whole of Soweto, where Orlando was the first township. Other long-established townships include Diepkloof, Dube, Meadowlands, Orlando East and Orlando West.

Region E

Region E is home to some of joburg’s older established suburbs that lie along Louis Botha Avenue, the old main road between Johannesburg and Pretoria. But it includes newer suburbs in & near central Sandton.

Region F

Region F is bound by Killarney Ridge in the north, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality to the east, the Klip River to the south, and to the west Soweto Joburg South. Including Southgate, Fordsburg and Mayfair.

Region G

Region G borders Region D to the northwest and Region F to the northeast. To the west and southwest, it shares a boundary with Westonaria. To the east and southeast, the perimeter extends to Emfuleni and Midvaal.
